About me
I’m Jeremy Leavitt, and my journey in the realm of psychotherapy spans over 12 remarkable years. With a foundation in Criminal Justice (Bachelor of Science) and a deep dive into the intricacies of relationships with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, I’ve intertwined knowledge with experience to shape my therapeutic approach.
My Therapeutic Style
Energetic, upbeat, and always ready for a hearty laugh, I believe that therapy doesn’t always have to be somber. Breaking the barriers of convention, I ensure that sessions are as much about connection and understanding as they are about healing and progress.
I have an eclectic approach to therapy rather than relying on 1 treatment modality. I take the information gained through education, certifications, and experience to tailor a personal approach for each individual, pulling interventions and styles from numerous modalities.

Years Of Experience
Martial Arts & Healing
Martial arts have been an integral part of my life since 1994. As a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a certified martial arts instructor, the discipline, focus, and balance from this ancient art inform my therapeutic approach. This passion doesn’t just end in personal practice. I dedicate my evenings volunteering, teaching students, and molding them not just in the art but in life principles. With a vision to integrate martial arts with trauma healing, I founded ATIMAS (Association of Trauma Informed Martial Arts Schools) and have been pioneering in certifying instructors with a trauma-informed approach.
A World Explorer
Beyond the therapy room and the dojo, I am an ardent traveler. Exploring the globe, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and understanding the tapestry of human experiences enrich my perspective, both personally and professionally.
Join me as we journey together from perfection to purposeful growth. Whether you’re seeking therapeutic guidance, exploring the confluence of martial arts and healing, or just looking for a fresh perspective, you’re in the right place.
Family & Beyond
Family is my cornerstone. Married for two decades, my wife and I share the joys and challenges of raising our two incredible sons, aged 18 and 13. Our home is also enlivened by our love for dogs, these loyal companions sometimes even become co-therapists, enhancing the therapeutic environment with their innate empathy and presence.
